Weightlifting

Weight lifting is an athletic discipline in the modern Olympic programme in which, the athlete attempts a maximum-weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates. In comparison with other strength based sports, which tests the limit of strength, weightlifting tests the aspects of human ballistic limits where the lifts are therefore executed faster and with more mobility and a greater range of motion during their execution rather than other strength of movements. If properly executed, the snatch, clean and jerk are both very dynamic and explosive while appearing graceful. There will be in total of five events for the upcoming 29th SEA Games, Men’s-56kg, Men’s-62kg, Men’s-69kg, Men’s-77kg and Men’s-85kg respectively
